Introducing Wick and Whimsy

1 minute, 10 seconds Read

In April I will be hosting the next Krakon Games Kickstarter – Wick and Whimsy. This project will offer a selection of new sculpts with a candle-based nature. Previously we had seen the Snufflings, a joyous spirit creature that looks like a candle with legs.

These little familiars were created to offer adventurers a companion who could provide a light source with their mere presence as they delve into the caverns of Kel. Like a few other one-off sculpts in my range (see the Oozeling), I like to expand on fun ideas and inevitably flesh out a group beyond that single creation.

As such, I have been working on some similarly-themed creatures, who sit within the Wick and Whimsy scope. With the prevalent darkness of the caves, it would make sense that more creatures and spirits with their own sources of light would exist if the Snufflings do. Well, even if it didn’t make sense, I’ve made it so!

First up is the Dripborne Walker. This is a larger spirit, with optional flame (I’ve decided to leave off the candle wicks as they break, but will be supplied to add.) It is pretty much a coalescence of elemental wax.

Drippy has been cast up so I can toy with some variant sculpts.

Coming up next – a look at the Molten Sentinel and Meltmaw!
